Hi I’m Dr. Kanda.  I graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. After practicing in Minnesota, Wisconsin and, Missouri, I was very fortunate to come to Utah. I have been at Mountain View Animal Hospital since 1997 and helped it grow to the wonderful facility it is today. I like the relaxed friendly atmosphere and excellent patient care, and our fantastic clients who adore their pets.

I grew up with a menagerie of animals and knew from the age of three that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I believe that our lives are much more worthwhile when shared with pets and it is my goal with each and every patient that I see to help that relationship be as long and healthy as possible. I have a special interest in feline medicine and alternative health care.

I share my home with my partner Preston, two beautiful Burmese cats, Chaco and Kokopelli and a box turtle that I have had for 46 years named Turt. When I’m not working I like to spend my time outdoors enjoying hiking, biking, camping, gardening or cross country skiing.
